What a great weekend for 410 sprint car racing. The month of money has kicked off in Pennsylvania and Brent Marks reminded everyone that he is still one of the best cars in the country. Brian Brown made his way into Pennsylvania early and immediately picked up a win. Austin McCarl traveled up to Ohio and spent the weekend racing with the locals. Sheldon Haudenschild put on a show during night one at Skagit, running four wheels over the cushion on his way to victory.
The Dirt Classic at Lincoln didn’t come without some drama, as Freddie Rahmer made contact with Anthony Macri battling for second early in the race. A fast running Tanner Thorson was also collected in the wreck.

Notes:
I usually defend Freddie Rahmer when it comes to people bashing him for never leaving the porch. I can’t defend him on this one. He threw a dumb slider that had no chance of clearing Macri. Tanner Thorson expressed his displeasure with Rahmer as he walked to the trailer and you can’t blame him. I hate it for Macri and the Indy Race Parts team, they were fast all weekend and will be one of the favorites at Port Royal.
After the incident, Brent Marks and Danny Dietrich had one of the best finishes all season at Lincoln. Dietrich threw an epic slider on the last turn and almost got it to stick. Marks drove back under him and just barely nipped him at the line.
Devon Borden is turning into a star right in front of our eyes. The guy has been flat out flying on the cushion at Port Royal this year. He passed Lance Dewease on the final corner a few weeks ago and chased down Hunter Schuerenberg this weekend to pick up another win. Look for him to be a threat during the Tuscarora 50.

Zeb Wise and Tyler Courtney battling every night will never get old. The points are so close and they are racing each other hard and clean. It’s been so fun to watch.
Brian Brown, Austin McCarl, Sam Hafertepe Jr, Lynton Jeffrey, Cory Eliason and others made their way into Pennsylvania and Ohio this weekend. They are all likely prepping for the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal with the All Stars. Brown picked up a win and gained some momentum heading into the big weekend.
Huset’s and Knoxville wrapping up their regular seasons is a sad reminder that the season is starting to come to an end. It’s been one of the more memorable season in recent years with the start of the High Limit series, the never ending cycle of driver changes, the close All Stars and Outlaws points battles, and the increased purses around the sport. There’s still plenty of racing left, but I’m not ready for it to be over.
The weekend is over but we have 410 sprint car racing at Grays Harbor and Port Royal on Monday. The Outlaws continue their west coast swing and the PA Posse continue the month of money.
