Aussie Update: Goodyer Continues to Shine

Brad Sweet just landed in Australia and has already found himself in victory lane. Sweet joined Rico Abreu, Cory Eliason and Brock Zearfoss at Perth Motorplex for round two of the USA vs. WA Sprint Car Speedweek. The highlights have not yet been posted, but they will be must watch, as Sweet, Abreu and Callum Williamson exchanged sliders for the lead through lapped traffic. Some were calling it one of the best sprint car races of the entire year.

Simpson Speedway 12/27

In round 7 of the SRA Open Sprint Cars Series, Aussie standout Tate Frost picked up the win over Cameron Waters. Americans Justin Peck and Riley Goodno were both in attendance at Simpson, with Peck finishing in 7th and Goodno coming home 9th. Peck was forced to transfer out of the B-Main and battled his way through the field for a top 10.

Murray Bridge 12/27

For the second consecutive night, Jock Goodyer continued to show the world that he is going to be a superstar. Goodyer won the second round of the Murray Bridge Speedway Sprint Car Speedweek, topping Aaron Reutzel and Matt Egel in the A-Main. Chase Randall rebounded from his hard crash the previous night to finish fifth.

Bordeline Speedway 12/28

While Rico Abreu and Brad Sweet duked it out at Perth Motorplex, the stars were out at Borderline Speedway. Once again, it was Jock Goodyer winning his third consecutive race over Brock Hallett and James McFadden. Goodyer defeated a stacked field of cars that included Chase Randall, Aaron Reutzel, Lachlan McHugh, Jessie Attard, Justin Peck and Grant Anderson. Justin Peck was forced to qualify out of the B-Main for the second night in a row.
