Thoughts
Zeb Wise has been on rails. They have that Rudeen no. 26 car working well and he will be one to watch this week at Eldora.
There was a lot of controversy over the final two restarts at Knoxville on Saturday night for the 410 A Main. Lynton Jeffrey was lagging back behind Brian Brown to the point where it seemed like he was playing defense. Jeffrey said afterward that he was having issues with his car taking off on the start. Austin McCarl and others behind him were not happy about it.
Danny Dietrich finally found some good luck, winning at Lincoln from 10th. Dietrich plans to run the million this week with his no. 48 team.
It was good to see Carson Macedo back in victory lane after his scary crash a few weeks ago. He will always be a threat to win the big races coming up.
Huge shoutout to Sharon Speedway and the All Stars for sticking it out and giving the drivers a nice track to work with after the rain delay. Courtney was dominate and could be hitting his stride at the perfect time.
Selinsgrove Speedway rained out again on Sunday. The track was trying to do right and honor their PA Speedweek purse but they could not catch a break. Keep your eyes peeled for another makeup date.
Huset’s was in great shape on Sunday Night. Ryan Timms wins that A Main with 5 more laps. He found something at the end. Christopher Thram gets his first 410 win at Huset’s!
Hot Takes
I have about 14 drivers with a legitimate chance to win the million. I wouldn’t count out Zeb Wise, Buddy Kofoid, Gio Scelzi, or Brian Brown.
Hunter Schuerenberg will be very good at Eldora in the Swindell Speedlab 39. We all know that car is fast and Hunter is racing with a chip on his shoulder. Also it was cool to see him in the Newton 16TH car with the Outlaws.
Jack Dover could win a lot of races driving that Estenson 14T machine. Tim will learn a lot from having Jack drive the car.
