The excitement around PA Speedweek was dampened by consistent rain wreaking havoc on Central Pennsylvania all week. Mother Nature was ultimately defeated by Anthony Macri for the championship. Macri won the $15,000 to win finale at Port Royal and collected an additional $5,000 for the Speedweek championship.
Thoughts
Anthony Macri and Brent Marks were smart to stay home. They were the class of the field almost every night.
I wish we could see more of Logan Wagner. He finished second to Macri in the finale, despite not running much this season. Hopefully we can see him at some big events soon.
Rain sucks. I donโt think it would have changed the outcome of the final points, but it took away our chance to see a Brent Marks / Anthony Macri showdown.
Everyone has already said it and I mentioned it in my 410 roundup, but Tanner Thorson and the 58 car are awesome.
It was a disappointing week for Devon Borden and Danny Dietrich. I expected a better showing from both of them. They both ended up going for wild rides at Port Royal on Tuesday night.
The URC Sprint Cars being the support class on Tuesday was fantastic. We need to see some more televised 360 action with the 410s.
