Knoxville Nationals By the Numbers
110 cars are entered for the 2024 Nationals. 55 will compete on Wednesday and 55 on Thursday.
The average number of points needed to lock in on your prelim night has decreased over the last few years. Teams should be aiming for 450 points to have a chance. That number could be as high as 455-457 or as low as 447.
During the last 3 Nationals, an average of 12 drivers from each prelim night end up making the A-Main. That means that if less than 8 cars lock in from a prelim night, those drivers who missed the cut usually have a good chance to make it through the B-Main or Hard Knox.
