What a time to be a 410 sprint car fan. Both the World of Outlaws and High Limit Racing series released their 2024 schedules and there is a lot to love about both. Rico Abreu appeared on the Gravel Show on Friday and spoke a little bit about his plans for 2024. There are some rumors circling about a possible driver joining High Limit full-time and some new hires for the series. Plus, some familiar drivers picked up wins in Australia and New Zealand. Let’s go!

James McFadden won the third round of the Maddington Toyota Sprint Car Series at Perth Motorplex in Australia. James Inglis finish second, followed by Jason Kendrick, Brad Maiolo, and Mitchell Wormall.
Joel Myers Jr. got his New Zealand swing started with a win at Ruapuna Speedway. Myers was followed by Jamie Duff, Brenham Crouch, Connor Rangi and Jacob McIntyre.
News
- Rico Abreu appeared on the Gravel Show and stated that he would be supporting both the High Limit and World of Outlaws in 2024. He didn’t specify if he would return to a true outlaw schedule, but we can rule out Rico committing to the Outlaws full-time. He could still commit to High Limit and support multiple Outlaw shows.
- AFCS (Attica Fremont Championship Series) announced that they would be increasing their purse to $4,000 to win and $400 to start in 2024. The series will pay $10,000 to the champion. This is a good sign for the local Ohio sprint car scene, as a small void has been created by the departure of the All Stars.
- Kasey Kahne has committed to running the entire 2024 High Limit schedule. This one is not a surprise, as Kahne owns Brad Sweet’s NAPA no. 49. I am sure we will still see Kahne at a bunch of WoO shows in 2024.
- Shark Racing will split up and run both series in 2024. Logan Schuchart will be returning to the Outlaws and Jacob Allen will be back to full-time racing, but this time with High Limit. I was not that surprised by this, as Bobby Allen seems like a guy who will do anything he can to make the most money.

Rumors

- Garet Williamson is a name being thrown around as a driver who will be committing to the High Limit series full-time. His expected team is looking for a car chief and a truck driver for the 2024 season and has stated that they will be running all over the country.
- Chet Christner has left his position as the USAC announcer and many are speculating that this means he will be the High Limit announcer in 2024. No announcement has been made yet.
- DIRTRACKR posted that there are some interesting rumors circulating about more High Limit acquisitions. No names have been mentioned, but he indicated that he was not talking about Chet Christner.
