With the High Limit Racing Series confirming what we already knew, we can now speculate about the schedule and how things will fit into place. Despite the schedule not being released, we do know that some dates are confirmed for 2024 and we can begin to form a schedule around those dates.

High Limit confirmed that they will start their season off in February at East Bay in Florida. The question is will that be before or after the Outlaws make the trip to Volusia? The Outlaws are scheduled to tow to Florida beginning on February 8th. They will also return to Volusia on March 3rd for a special Bike Week event. With that being said, it seems more likely that the High Limit guys will start their season after the Outlaws begin in Volusia.

The month of March is unconfirmed but we know that High Limit will visit the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway in conjunction with NASCAR in April. NASCAR is due in Texas on April 14th in 2024. Will we see a High Limit Southern swing around this time?

May seems to be the month that we know most about. It was announced that High Limit will also be at Lakeside in conjunction with NASCAR’s visit to Kansas. That event is scheduled for May 5th and it seems more likely that this will be one of the midweek events that High Limit will still be producing.

If the Rayce Rudeen event at Plymouth keeps a similar date as it did in 2023, we can expect that event to be sanctioned by High Limit in May. Since Port Royal officially announced that High Limit will sanction the Bob Weikert Memorial, we know that the series will be in Pennsylvania on May 25-26. This will likely we a Pennsylvania swing vs. the Posse leading into a trip to Ohio for Speedweek.

Many questioned what would happen to Ohio Speedweek, but it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. The historic week in sprint car racing will now be under the High Limit wing with an announcement coming soon. Ohio Speedweek will likely close out with the Dean Knittel race at Portsmouth (confirmed High Limit race).

High Limit will also introduce a new two-day event at Eldora in July. The dates are unconfirmed but it will likely be around the same time the Outlaws come to town for the Kings Royal. It was also announced that High Limit will take over the 410 sprint car portion of the 4-crown Nationals.

The biggest question mark comes with what happens when the series goes to the West Coast. In a somewhat surprising announcement, the Skagit Nationals will now be a High Limit event. This event traditionally takes place during the last week of August or first week of September. If the dates remain the same, it could lead up to a massive West Coast swing with the Gold Cup at Chico finishing it off. One blip in the scheduling is that the historic Tusky 50 at Port Royal is already scheduled for September 5-7 and is a confirmed High Limit event. It seems as if the West Coast swing might get pushed back a week or two (or forward depending on where they are in the country) to make travel more friendly.

After the West Coast Swing, we will see the High Limit Championship take place at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway. It is largely unknown what will happen to fill the gaps in the schedule but we know Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson were adamant about making travel easier for the teams and drivers. This could mean we see less tracks on the schedule and more tracks having two day events.

Stay tuned, as we will continue updating on all things High Limit.
