It’s hard to believe that there are still two more nights of incredible sprint car racing about to take place at Eldora Speedway. Tonight, the World of Outlaws return for a $20,000 to win “Knight Before.” The Knight Before will lead us into the Kings Royal, a prestigious race that will pay the winner $175,000.

Coming off a million dollar night, Logan Schuchart will be the favorite leading up to the weekend. Schuchart dominated all 50 laps of the Eldora Million and was incredibly fast all week. Carson Macedo, Brad Sweet and David Gravel headline the other favorites, as they continue their heated World of Outlaws points battle.

I’m looking at some guys who were unable to make the million to redound and have themselves a good Kings Royal. Zeb Wise, Sheldon Haudenschild, Shane Stewart, Parker Price-Miller, Lance Dewease, and Sye Lynch all showed moments of speed, but we’re missing from the A Main. I expect Wise to have a better showing, as his million was dampened by a bad time trial session on night one. I think Wise passed the most cars overall throughout the million.

Haudenschild was on his way to transfer to the A Main before a crash in the B Main ended his million dollar dream. There is not doubt about it that the no. 17 machine is fast and will bounce back.

Dewease was able to win a C Main last night. It looked like he was more comfortable behind the wheel of the Macri no. 39M. I think they get the car dialed in for the weekend and we see him in the A Main.

Shane Stewart and Parker Price-Miller had some mechanical woes during the million, but both showed speed. Look for both of them to throw their hat in the ring tonight and tomorrow.

Hunter Schuerenberg was buried deep in the field all week during the million. We know Hunter is more than capable of getting around Eldora and that the Swindell no.39 is very fast. I expect a better showing the next two nights.

We will see which cars stay for the weekend, but there will be another stacked field of cars racing for $175,000 regardless. Chase Randall and Garet Williamson both will be returning to Knoxville for the 360 shootout. I don’t think we will see any new cars show up that weren’t already at the million. We could lose a few local Ohio and PA drivers that will return home for weekend competition.

This weekend’s action will be live on DirtVision. Tune in for what will be another great two nights of racing.
