I don’t know if you noticed, but there is a pretty big sprint car race going on this week. No, I am not talking about the Eldora Million and Kings Royal. It’s the IRA vs. NOSA sprints at I-94 Speedway in Minnesota! The three day event begins tonight at I-94 and will move to River Cities Speedway tomorrow and Saturday for the annual King of the Wings doubleheader.
Tonight kicks off round one and a strong field of cars are expected to compete. Jordan Goldesberry, Joel Myers Jr, Travis Arenz, Christopher Thram, Josh Schneiderman, Brenham Crouch, Tyler Tischendorf, Scotty Neitzel, Mark Dobmeier, Brendan Mullen and many more are a few names that will be in attendance for some or all of the nights.
Travis Arenz is the most recent IRA Sprint winner. The rookie took home the Scott Semmelmann Memorial on Saturday, July 1 at the Plymouth Dirt Track. Arenz was able to top the 28-car field and win the feature from his fifth starting spot.
NOSA Sprints point leader Mark Dobmeier plans to run both nights at River Cities this weekend. Dobmeier picked up a win at the Border Battle at Jackson Motorplex a few weeks ago and is coming off consecutive top fives in NOSA action.

Huset’s Speedway’s most recent 410 winner Christopher Thram will be in action for all three nights. Thram got his first career 410 win last week and looked very impressive at the Highbank Nationals. Look for Thram to be a strong contender this week.
California’s Joel Myers Jr is making the long haul to try his luck at some new tracks. Myers Jr will be in action all three nights with the IRA Sprints and then turn his attention to Huset’s on Sunday.
If you can’t catch the action in person, you can watch the IRA vs. NOSA Sprints on FloRacing tonight at I-94.
